fingertips

all of windows at your fingertips

Hello Taco,

When I use the f xx command to find a contact in Outlook, fingertips displays the message: Fingertips: a problem has occured. and in the box is shown: Contact xx not found.
I use Outlook 2007 with windows desktop search.

Hi Peter,

Oops. You're right. That command should have been removed from Fingertips.
I was working on a way to do that properly, but didn't succeed yet.

I have created a command 'wds' with the following Filename/URL:

search-ms:query={1}

That works fine for me to search with Windows Desktop Search.

I hope this helps.

Hello Taco,

wds is a good alternative for the F command. Does the search-ms: type also have a way to filter on content type, e.g. contacts?

Bedankt,

Dag Peter,

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/desktopsearch/t...

Succes!
