fingertips

all of windows at your fingertips

I am very happy with fingertips.
But missing one function: A personal help.
It would be nice to be able to call up a list,
and easily hide it again
sorted on description
showing the abbreviation to use
and even better: divided into some catagories like
'explorer', 'tools', 'internet', 'outlook'

I created something like this just as textfile, calling it by 'he'

Hi Johannes,

Glad to hear that you like Fingertips.

If you press Ctrl+F (Find) from the command window, you can search through all available commands.
Ctrl+Shift+F for all Fingertype acronyms.
With a simple tap on the Esc key, you return to the command window.

At the bottom of the Options Screen you find the 'List commands' button. That may help in creating your own lists, just like you already did.

Enjoy,

Taco,

Yes, ok, I'll rephrase my remark: would be nice to be able to sort the list on description.

Hi Johannes,

Sounds like a good idea - I'll put it on the list.

Kind regards,

Taco,

Forgotten to mention: I think it is best to split this just similar to the various types in the edit/find screen :
applications (links, folder views, other appflications, outlook actions, windows actions.
Because when you want to lookup a shorthand, you definetly know which of these category.

Johannes
