Hi Taco,

I was looking up what twitter was, it seems the same as instant messaging to me?
why is it so important to have in fingertips? Where do you use it for?

Hi Eroll,

Instant messaging is synchronous communications, Twitter a a-synchronous communication. I don't have the time to explain Twitter here, but for me it has become quite important to stay in touch with my friends. All over the internet you should be able to find good articles on Fingertips, for instance on http://lifehacking.nl (Dutch) or http://lifehacker.com.

I read the explainations before I posted, I just wondered if you had any other uses for it than the obvious.

I noticed that while many of my friends were real enthusiastic about Twitter, I couldn't get myself to use it. Then I wondered what was the reason behind that - and I thought that I needed an easier way to send messages to Twitter.

That's why I decided to build it into Fingertips :-)

I've heard from somebody else who updates his tasklist using Twitter via Fingertips. But I'm not _that_ sophisticated myself :-)
